The Steeled Resolve event in Pokémon GO is currently taking place from January 21, 2025, at 10 AM to January 26, 2025, at 8 PM local time. This event introduces new Pokémon, including the debut of Rookidee and its evolutions, Corvisquire and Corviknight.
Event Features
- Pokémon Debuts: Rookidee and its evolutions are available through hatching 2 km Eggs or using Magnetic Lure Modules.
- Wild Encounters: Players can encounter various Pokémon in the wild, including Marill, Totodile, Machop, and others that are known for their competitive viability.
- Timed Research: The event includes a free Timed Research track where players must complete initial tasks before choosing between two paths: training with Blanche or Cliff.
Timed Research Tasks
The first step of the Timed Research involves:
- Catching 15 Pokémon
- Spinning 5 PokéStops or Gyms
- Walking 2 kilometers
Upon completion, players can choose between two paths, each offering different Pokémon encounters:
Path Choices
Blanche's Path
- Encounter with Marill (which evolves into Azumarill)
- Final encounter with Steelix
Cliff's Path
- Encounter with Shadow Machop (which evolves into Shadow Machamp)
- Final encounter with Marowak
Both paths provide similar rewards in terms of items and experience points, but the Pokémon encounters differ significantly. Choosing Cliff generally offers rarer encounters that can be more competitive in battles.
